What is branding, how important is a
logo for a business?
Business identity, Branding, is
imperative to gain perspective clients, and to keep existing
clients.
Take for example the situation of
buying a car. Would a customer be more apt to buy a car from
a brand they know, verse an unknown brand?
With branding, there are often
factors that come into play, such as reputation,
reliability, quality. This applies to not just products, but
services as well. Often the unknown, the unidentifiable, is
less enticing to the average consumer, than the known, the
familiar.
It is part of the psychology of
marketing. A logo should summarize key aspects of a
business, trigger recognition - think the "golden arches” of
McDonalds. Thru a logo, a business can build a solid
business identity that symbolizes thoughts beyond imagery
about the business, a proverbial snapshot of what the
business is.
